Objectives
The main aims of the project are to analyse the development of participatory approaches since 1950, providing an exhaustive overview of the level of stakeholder involvement in research projects, the types of marine socio-ecosystem management issues addressed, the declared intentions of stakeholders to participate, and the approaches and tools used; to assess the societal and environmental impacts of these approaches; to draw lessons from this work and to raise future prospects.
Application procedure
The application includes a detailed CV of no more than 3 pages, including the contact details of 2 or 3 referees, a one-page summary of the research work carried out and a letter of motivation. This application, in the form of a single PDF file, should be sent to Yunne Shin and Olivier Thébaud before 17 August 2025. Interviews are scheduled between 25 and the 29 August. This project could eventually be transformed into a thesis project depending on the applications received.
