Arbitration date 30 May (lab ranking if several applications) internally, then there will be a ranking at ED 251 level.
For your information, last year 2 MIO doctors were honoured: Cathy Wimart-Rousseau won the AMU thesis prize and Lauric Reynes won the City of Marseille thesis prize.

Since 2021, the City of Marseille has awarded a prize for the best and most exemplary theses defended by doctoral students enrolled at AMU, according to predefined themes voted on by the city council.
The evaluation criteria chosen by the institution mainly concern scientific quality, the originality of the work carried out, the impact of the results obtained and their exploitation.
There will be five themes this year:
Social and democracy
Ecology and sustainable development
The Mediterranean
Life and health sciences
Advanced Science and Technology
Three thesis prizes will be awarded per theme, worth €1,500 (1st prize), €1,000 (2nd prize) and €500 (3rd prize).
A Special Prize for Interdisciplinarity, worth 500 euros, will be awarded to one of the winners. This sum of 500 euros will be added to the amount of the Prize.
To select theses, taking into account the opinions of the pre-defence rapporteurs and the defence report,
AMU will also pay close attention to gender parity when examining ED proposals.
2 - AMU Thesis Prize (form attached)
Each year, the University of Aix-Marseille awards a prize for the most exemplary theses defended by doctoral students registered at AMU.
The evaluation criteria chosen by the institution mainly concern scientific quality, the originality of the work carried out, the impact of the results obtained and their exploitation.
Each proposal must include a summary of the thesis, the pre-tenure and defense reports, publications relating to the thesis, the curriculum vitae of the young doctor, the attached form duly completed and any additional documents you consider useful for assessing the applications.
