On 13 March, the IRD Centre in Nouméa was visited by Moulay Abdelaghani-Idrissy, Territorial Director of Research and Technology and local representative of the MESRI to the High Commissioner, Laurent Prévaut, French High Commissioner to New Caledonia, and Edouard Hnawia, Director of the IRD Representation in New Caledonia. They were given a presentation on oceanography research into climate change.
The MIO was represented.
Isabelle Biegala (MIO) presented the deep-sea oceanographic observation activities: SNO-SSS from UMR-LEGOS and US IMAGO based in Noumé/Brest/Dakar and SPOT from M.I.O.
Jérôme Aucan (Entropie) presented the coastal oceanographic observation activities: Reef-Temp (UMRs LEGOS and Entropie) and MOISE (UMR M.I.O).
