The HOT Hg campaign took place from 15 to 29 May 2023, two wonderfully exhausting weeks on the island of Panarea to study natural mercury emissions, their impact on microbiology and bioaccumulation in the food web of five shallow hydrothermal vents.
Many thanks to our fantastic team, to the ANR HOT_Hg and to the European Commission's GMOS-Train ITN project for their financial support!
The teams: 24 researchers, including 3 postdocs, 4 PhD students and 4 scientific divers were in the field, from Aix Marseille Université/MIO/IMBE, Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Université de Sorbonne/IMEV, ICM-CSIC/Université Autonome de Barcelona (Spain), University of Tianjin (China), University of Aveiro/CESAM (Portugal), University of Lleida (Spain), Jozef Stefan Institute (Slovenia), OGS (Italy) and INGV (Italy).
Stay tuned!
