Le projet PATASWOT from l’IFAECI (Instituto Franco–Argentino para el Estudio del Clima y sus Impactos) collabore avec the MIO pour échantillonner la partie extérieure from plateau continental patagonien in l’Atlantique sud–ouest en octobre 2025 à l’aide from planeur Seaxplorer acheté par the CNES afin from contribuer aux données cal/val SWOT.
Le planeur a été déployé à partir du R/V Falkor (too), qui effectue une croisière multidisciplinaire pour explorer l’interaction du courant des Malouines avec les canyons dans la partie supérieure du talus.
Le planeur a été lancé avec succès par Nagib Bhairy (MIO) le 6 octobre 2025 et transmet correctement les données.
