The MIO 2022 Climate Kick-Off!

As in 2021, the students in the Master's degree in Marine Science took part in the "rentrée climat", the biggest programme to raise awareness of climate change.

What is Rentrée Climat?

The Rentrée Climat programme consists of organising Climate Fresco workshops at your school to provide students with a common scientific understanding of climate issues.

What is the Climate Fresco?

The Climate Fresco is a fun, collective intelligence workshop that helps you understand how the climate works, how everything is linked and why it's essential to take action. It was created by Cédric Ringenbach. It's a 42-card game based on data from the IPCC, the international scientific reference on climate change. Participants have to put the cards together on a table and link them together to form a fresco showing the causes and consequences of climate change.

A workshop lasts 3 hours and includes a reflection phase, a creative phase and an action phase.

Today, the Climate Fresco has over 525,000 participants and more than 25,000 volunteers. It exists in 50 countries and has been translated into 45 languages.
