Pauline attended the 25th Ocean Optics conference ( https://oceanopticsconference.org/ ) on 3 October at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Vietnam.
Pauline began her PhD on 1 October 2021 at the MIO Marseille, under the supervision of Xavier Mari (IRD, Thailand), Marc Tedetti (IRD, Vietnam) and Cam Tu Vu (Hanoi University of Science and Technology - USTH). After the first year of her thesis in Marseille at the MIO, Pauline arrived in Hanoi on 25 September 2022 to continue her sampling and analysis work at the USTH for a period of 2 years.
Pauline presented part of her thesis work on the detection and quantification of dissolved BlackCarbon in coastal environments using a submersible minifluorimeter (MFLn°25) developed and calibrated at the MIO and manufactured by ALSEAMAR. In particular, she presented the first concentrations of dissolved BlackCarbon in the Mediterranean measured at the MIO by GC-MS and fluorescence measurement by sensor. This work is part of the European MATE (MAritime Traffic Emission: a monitoring network) project.
