Pint of Science is a unique festival of popular science, bringing together researchers and enthusiasts in a convivial setting: A Bar!
The programme
Each evening, a variety of subjects will be covered under six main headings:
- Wonders of the Mind: Neuroscience, Psychology, Psychiatry
- Atoms to Galaxies : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
- Our Body: Human Biology, Health, Medicine
- Our Society: Sociology, Politics, Law, History
- Star Tech: IT, Engineering, New Technologies
- Planet Earth: Earth Sciences, Botany, Zoology
Each session starts with a general introduction to the subject, given by the first speaker to put the audience at ease. The second speaker then takes the discussion further, explaining his or her research in a simple and accessible way!

In your email, please specify :
- Your field of activity, your institute and your status (researcher, doctoral student, post-doctoral student, engineer, master's student, etc.).
- The title of your presentation (50 characters maximum, including spaces)
- A short summary of your subject (600 characters maximum, including spaces)
- The name of your partner (include this person in a copy of your email).
Important Each presentation will be given by two speakers, alternating or complementing each other in their approach. It's up to you to find and propose your pair - we don't match them up.
Speakers will be selected at the beginning of March, and we can't wait to hear what you have to say!
