CADMO
The CADMO service « Data analysis and modelling in oceanography » is a research support service dedicated to providing scientific and technical support to the MIO teams.
It offers technical support from the implementation of calculation chains to the exploitation of results. CADMO works with research teams to ensure the quality, reproducibility and long-term viability of research work.
It is based on scientific computing methods, community codes, appropriate software environments and the best practices of open science, in particular FAIRisation (FAIR) and data semantisation.
The department has a dedicated team: Camille Mazoyer, in charge of digital modelling and scientific computing, and Céline Quentin, in charge of data management, analysis and development. Tutorials and training courses are offered on a project-by-project basis to help users get to grips with the technical side of digital tools.
CADMO relies on local, regional and national computing infrastructures, and collaborates actively with national networks and services such as ODATIS (for ocean data), the IRD ISI network, and is involved in the development of the Community Code CROCO. These partnerships strengthen the integration of digital tools into research projects, while ensuring the visibility, accessibility and interoperability of the data produced.
