The aim of this COMET Coastal Altimetry Day is to review progress on the capabilities of Nadir altimetry for observing coastal dynamics. The analysis of Nadir altimetry capabilities will be complemented by that of ground-based resources and will be evaluated in ocean models. User requirements will be presented and discussed in detail.
