CNES is organising a coastal altimetry day on 17 March: colleagues from MIO will be taking part.

Anne Petrenko, MIO-OPLC ("Courant de bord par altimétrie à JULIO, au large de Marseille") and Anne Molcard, MIO-OPCL or Alejandro Caceres-Euse (Fusion of High-Frequency radar & Altrimetry data to retreive geostrophic veocity at coastal region) will speak. The aim of this COMET Coastal Altimetry Day is to review progress on the capabilities of Nadir altimetry for observing coastal dynamics. The analysis of Nadir altimetry capabilities will be complemented by that of ground-based resources and will be evaluated in ocean models. User requirements will be presented and discussed in detail. The focus will be on information mainly used to measure ocean dynamics, sea level, currents and sea state. You can now register online for the next COMET coastal altimetry:
