The MIO is deploying a glider in the south-west Atlantic to study the small-scale dynamics of the Patagonian continental shelf.

Le project PATASWOT from IFAECI (Instituto FrancoArgentino para el Estudio del Clima y sus Impactos) collaborates with the MIO for sample the part outdoor from tray continental Patagonian in the Atlantic southwest at October 2025 à help from glider Seaxplorer purchased by the CNES to from contribute at data calluses/val SWOT.

The glider was deployed from the R/V Falkor (too), which is on a multidisciplinary cruise to explore the interaction of the Falklands current with the canyons in the upper part of the slope.

The glider was successfully launched by Nagib Bhairy (MIO) on 6 October 2025 and transmits the data correctly.
