The MIO is looking forward to seeing you at the World Conservation Congress, Parc Chanot in Marseille, from 4 September 2021!

We'll be on hand at the Espaces Générations Nature areas, which are open free of charge and can be visited without booking, to offer you a whole host of activities.

The Espaces Générations Nature areas will be open to the general public free of charge and without registration from 04 to 11 September 2021. Visitors will be able to enjoy innovative, creative and fun experiences that will raise their awareness of biodiversity and teach them how to protect it!

Immerse yourself in this friendly, festive biodiversity village (free entry with health pass for over-18s).

Expert talks, a giant terrarium, art exhibitions, aquatic biodiversity immersion, hands-on workshops, screenings and debates, games, collaborative works, an escape game, a life-size butterfly aviary and virtual reality experiences will delight young and old alike.

Join us for round tables on major biodiversity issues or theatre performances on the large EGN stage, watch films followed by a debate with the director or experts in the salle sourde (a closed room with individual listening devices), learn how to design your own cosmetics in themed alcoves, discover curiosity cabinets, organic cooking and permaculture workshops on the esplanades, get 'lost' in the participatory garden, attend our writing workshops in the beehives (enclosed or semi-enclosed work spaces), take part in the biodiversity fresco or chat with experts in the mini agora.

The aim is to understand its impact on ecosystems and raise awareness of the pressures on living things. The players present at the EGN will be raising your awareness on a variety of themes (oceans, climate change, agriculture and soil, innovation and participatory science, etc.) and providing you with the keys to taking action. National NGOs and local associations, collectives, biodiversity experts, natural area managers, artists, businesses and local authorities will be coming together to share their own commitments and solutions with you, so that you too can join in the adventure and take part in the challenge of preserving biodiversity.

The Espaces Générations Nature programme (available below) will be as rich and abundant as biodiversity itself.

More than 375 indoor and outdoor activities and events will be on offer for visitors of all ages and from all walks of life, with the aim of getting everyone involved in preserving biodiversity on a daily basis. A daily digital programme will also be available to enable as many people as possible to enjoy the EGN experience. All the events organised on the main stage will be broadcast live on FB.

A catering area and rest areas will also be available.
