The project Print me a fish! Traces of the sea has been selected for the 2025 edition.
MIO scientists have been working for several years on the BiodivAquart and the representation of aquatic species in art. While up until now their focus has been on European paintings of the modern period and modern mosaics, in 2025 they will be exploring contemporary views. To this end, workshops will be held at the fish market in Marseille's Vieux Port. These artistic workshops will provide an introduction to Gyotaku, a Japanese art form that consists of collecting fish prints on various paper or fabric supports.
