The oceans.cnrs.fr website provides a forum for bringing together scientific communities from all disciplines studying the oceans.
This website presents the news, events and publications of the GDR Omer, in which Christian Tamburini (MIO-MEB) is heavily involved. Its aim is to respond to the need to characterise, anticipate and support the changes facing the Ocean today.
The various GDR Omer working groups have access to a collaborative space.
The Seas and Oceans Research Group (GDR Omer)
The GDR OMER has 5 missions:
Leading and federating the scientific communities involved in studying the oceans
Training for the development of research in society (journalists, magistrates, prefects, members of parliament, etc.) and the transfer of knowledge
Coordinating multi-disciplinary research activities on the ocean in the broadest sense of the term
Promoting and sharing the results of this research on the ocean
Monitor developments in the field in terms of results, new scientific challenges and societal issues
