The oceans are the lifeblood of our planet, feeding us, transporting us and regulating our climate. Yet they are still largely unknown and are increasingly vulnerable to climate change. It is therefore crucial to gain a better understanding of their role and how they will evolve over the coming decades. But how can we do this?
To find out, we're taking you on an educational mini-series of five episodes, each around 7 minutes long. Head for Grenoble and Marseille, where a science journalist, accompanied by the famous "Petite voix" from "C'est pas sorcier", will take you to meet passionate scientists. Together, they will reveal the major scientific and technical challenges of digital ocean modelling.
Our colleague Melika Baklouti welcomed the film crew to the MIO site in Marseille. Let's go and rediscover the ocean!
This series is produced by Inria and L'Esprit Sorcier TV, as part of the Mediation project, within the Ocean & Climate priority research programme and with the support of the ANR - France 2030.
