The CNRS unexpected escapes

The 17 and 18 February 2024Aurélie Darbouret and Stéphanie Jacquet took part in a Demo Conference as part of the Unexpected escapes from the CNRSat the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.

The theme:  Explore the ocean! as part of the exhibition Explore the infinite... ".

Aurélie is a doctoral student in Sound and Visual Anthropology, co-supervised by the MIO, Equipe CEM and the CNE (Centre Norbert Elias), La Fabrique des Ecritures, in Marseille.

During this Demo Conference, Aurélie and Stéphanie offered a visual and audio immersion in the underwater coastline of the maritime metropolis of Marseilles to discover the interactions between humans and the living underwater world in a sea that has been anthropised by maritime transport, fishing, aquaculture, multiple discharges, introduced species, global warming and recreational activities.

This work is part of the interdisciplinary PREHSUMER project, MITI CNRS (80PRIME) in which Sandrine Ruitton, Delphine Thibault, Stéphanie Jacquet (MIO), Boris Petric, Jeff Silva, Aurélie Darbouret (CNE) and Thierry Botti (Osupytheas) are involved.
