After completing his PhD followed by an ATER at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, then a postdoctoral contract at the University of Bergen in Norway, Anthony Bosse will join MIO as a CNAP Physicien-adjoint in January 2020. His recruitment is part of the MOOSE National Observation Service (https://www.moose-network.fr/fr/), which aims to monitor the physical and biogeochemical properties of the north-western Mediterranean over the long term using a network of multi-scale and multi-platform observations (cruises, moorings, gliders).
Its research themes are aimed at characterising - mainly on the basis of observations - the physical processes of horizontal exchange (from general circulation to the sub-mesoscale) and vertical exchange (subduction, microstructure turbulence), as well as their impact on biogeochemistry and biology. His main areas of interest are the Mediterranean and Nordic Seas. Anthony has taken part in ten oceanographic campaigns from the subtropical Atlantic to the Arctic, via the Mediterranean. He is a member of the OPLC team on the Luminy campus and his office is 26M101.
The entire MIO welcomes him
