From 24 at 27 April 2026, The City of Marseille and Aix-Marseille Université are once again taking part in the City Nature Challenge!

Alongside hundreds of other cities around the world, the City of Marseille is taking up the challenge launched by the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County to promote and preserve biodiversity by collecting as many observations as possible of plant and animal species in Marseille with iNaturalist. By taking part, everyone can discover and share the incredible natural wealth of our local area, on land, on the coast and at sea.

The City of Marseille is inviting the people of Marseille to take part in this year's event, with the aim of reaching the milestone of 15,000 citizen observations for the knowledge and sustainable preservation of biodiversity! To mark the occasion, a rich programme of events awaits you, thanks to all the partners involved.
