The Partnership Clean Energy Transition (CETP) is a transnational initiative for the joint programming of research, technological development and innovation, which aims to stimulate and accelerate the energy transition by drawing on regional and national research and innovation funding bodies (national agencies, regions, etc.).
The CETP 2026 call is structured around 11 thematic call modules (CMs), each addressing a key aspect of the energy transition. These modules are themselves derived from seven transition initiatives (Transition Initiatives – TRI), which identify the main challenges to be overcome in order to successfully transition to clean energy.
For the CETP 2026 call for proposals, the ANR will participate in eight thematic modules, including the following:
- CM2026-01 (TRI 1): Resilience of integrated energy systems in a changing environment
- CM2026-02 (TRI 1 & TRI 2): Energy system flexibility in a scenario with a high proportion of renewable energy sources (RES): energy generation, storage and system integration
- CM2026-03A (TRI 2): Advanced renewable energy (RE) technologies for power generation (ROA)
- CM2026-04 (TRI 3): Industrial carbon management
- CM2026-05 (TRI 3): Hydrogen and renewable fuels. With regard to hydrogen production, only the production of green hydrogen will be eligible for the ANR.
- CM2026-06 (TRI 3): Stationary battery technologies and systems for a climate-neutral industry and built environment
- CM2026-07 (TRI 4): Heating and cooling technologies
- CM2026-10 (TRI 7): Integration of clean energy into the built environment
