This award highlights the commitment of the Fondation de la Mer and the Institut de l’Océan to promoting and supporting young researchers who are working to improve our understanding and protection of our oceans.
The Prize recognises scientific theses on the subject of the ocean. Two winners will each receive a cash prize of €5,000.
The Prize is open to PhD students currently working on their thesis or to PhD graduates who have successfully defended their thesis at the’Sorbonne University Alliance for less than three years, as at 1 September 2026.
