The ITEM and IM2B institutes (Institute of Microbiology, Bioenergy and Biotechnology) are inviting applications for a PhD research project at the interface between microbiology and the environment. Applications must be jointly submitted by a member of ITEM and a member of IM2B, from two different laboratories (instructions and application form available for download).
This call for applications forms part of amU’s doctoral programme, specifically within at least one of the following doctoral schools: ED67, ED250, ED251, ED355, ED372, ED658 or ED659. The successful candidate will be recruited as a full-time PhD student for a period of three years, commencing on 1 October 2026.
