Since January 2013, the fleet of station ships has been part of the French Oceanographic Fleet. The Fleet is made up of 6 vessels distributed along the French mainland coastline: Sepia II (Boulogne), Neomysis (Roscoff), Albert Lucas (Brest), Planula IV (Arcachon), Nereis II (Banyuls) and Antedon II (Marseille). The home ports of these ships are generally located near Marine Stations and Observatories for the Sciences of the Universe (OSU) of the CNRS/INSU.
These vessels, which are between 10m and 20m in length, make short trips (often for a day, returning to port in the evening) in limited geographical areas (limited radius of action close to USOs and Marine Stations).
Submission of "seaside campaign proposals" between 2 October and the 8 November 2024.
