The deadline for submitting letters of intent, originally set for 3 September 2026 at 11.00, is now set for 17 September 2026 at 11.00 (CEST). The deadline for submitting projects, originally set for 26 November 2026 at 11.00, is now set for 15 December 2026 at 11.00 (CET).
This call for proposals is structured around three thematic areas:
- Synergies between observations and modelling for the study of climate change and the development of climate services
- Innovative approaches to climate modelling, the assessment of impacts and risks, and the development of climate services
- Assessing and improving the effectiveness of climate services for climate change adaptation
Under this call for proposals, two funding schemes are available:
- ambitious collaborative projects, with funding of between €500k and €1M per project, lasting up to four years
- projects of the «early-career fellowship» type “ (”early career fellowship”), with funding ranging from €300k to €400k per project and lasting between 3 and 4 years (as a guide, a maximum of four projects of this type may be funded).
The beneficiaries are research organisations and higher education and research institutions. Foreign companies and institutions may be granted the status of ‘partner institution’ in projects, but will not receive funding in respect of their participation. The maximum total funding available for this second call for proposals under the PEPR Climat TRACCS programme is approximately €3 million.
The call for proposals will take place in two phases.
In an initial, mandatory phase, two-page letters of intent are required; on the basis of these, a limited number of project proposals will be shortlisted following assessment by an internal evaluation committee of the PEPR Climat TRACCS. In a second phase, the projects shortlisted in phase 1 will be invited to submit full project proposals, which will be assessed by a committee of international experts set up by the ANR.
