Deadline for submission : 17 June 2026.
This call is open to PhD students at higher education institutions that are members of UArctic and who are conducting research in the field of the Nordic regions or the Arctic, inviting them to submit their projects and present them at an international science communication competition organised as part of Arctic Circle Assembly. The event will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland, from 7 at 9 October 2026.
Four PhD students will be selected to take part in the final of the competition and give their presentations there. UArctic will award them a grant of between NOK 18,000 and NOK 24,000 (equivalent to approximately EUR 1,600 and EUR 2,200) to cover travel, accommodation and registration costs.
Two of the four scholarships available are intended for PhD students from the network’s non-Arctic member institutions.
