Lauric Reynes, a former doctoral student at the MIO, was awarded the City of Marseille Thesis Prize.

His thesis on "Genetic connectivity and structure of Ericaria zosteroides (Fucales) and Laminaria rodriguezii (Laminariales) populations on the French coast" was awarded a prize in the "Ecology and sustainable development" theme.

Mar Benavides, IRD Research Officer at the MIO, was awarded the departmental "young researcher" prize for research in Provence 2022.
