PEB platform Biogenic elements in oceanography
Manager : Sandra Nunige
The platform at a glance
Any study of the marine environment – whether of the intertidal zone, the coastal zone or the open sea – requires a thorough understanding of the fundamental parameters (or ‘core parameters’) that are essential for describing and understanding the functioning of hydrological and biological structures.
The PEB Biogenic Elements Platform, accredited as an Aix-Marseille Platform presents these analyses concerning the building blocks of living systems: oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and silicon.
