Hundreds of jellyfish were spotted on the beaches of Calvados last weekend, providing a sight that was as surprising as it was impressive. Whilst the heatwave may have been cited as a possible cause, scientists favour another explanation: favourable sea currents that have driven these creatures towards the coast.
