HyperBar pressure! Posidonia, our ally in ensuring the sustainable use of the coastline
17 June 2026 – 7.00 pm - 21h00

Date : 17 June 2026 – 7.00 pm – Zoumai Brasserie.
Whilst the commitment to the ecological transition rests first and foremost with us — our ability to understand the issues at stake, to change our ways and to live more harmoniously with the natural world — we must not forget that ecosystems themselves are also valuable allies. And some of these natural solutions can sometimes be found right before our eyes… or just a few metres below the sea’s surface.
Posidonia seagrass beds stretch along the Mediterranean coastline, serving as the cornerstones of marine biodiversity. Essential to the proper functioning of coastal ecosystems, they also provide a range of vital services: carbon sequestration, mitigation of coastal erosion, and shelter and nursery grounds for a multitude of species…
Through this Science Bar, we invite you to discover this herbarium that conceals a forest… a forest of solutions. At a time when every effort must be made to preserve these fragile environments in the face of human pressures, several initiatives underway along the Marseille coast and in the Calanques National Park will be presented to you, to help you better understand the actions being taken to protect and manage this exceptional ecosystem.
