Organised by the Académie des Sciences, Lettres et Arts de Marseille, under the aegis of the Fédération des Rencontres Interacadémiques Méditerranéennes (RIM), the symposium Cities and water in the Mediterranean : age-old issues that have become critical brings together historians, geographers, architects, scientists, economists, engineers, thinkers and public decision-makers to better understand what water reveals about our past societies, our present vulnerabilities and our future responsibilities.
