Journées de la Société Française d'Ichtyologie - 50 years of the SFI

The French Society of Ichthyology (SFI), which brings together 176 fish specialists from around the world, will celebrate its 50th anniversary on 18, 19 and 20 May 2026 in Marseille.
On this occasion, the proposed scientific programme will feature, in particular, a special visit from the Canadian project team SeaAroundUs, coordinated by the renowned researcher Daniel Pauly.
The programme for these events will showcase the research carried out in Marseille and the southern regions, whilst highlighting the close collaborations established with local authorities and fisheries professionals.
