We are facing an unprecedented ecological crisis, which calls into question our entire social organization. Major transformations are required, of a political, economic, technical, cultural nature. Digital sciences and technologies are profoundly changing our societies and can be part of the solution to accompany these transformations towards a sustainable way of life. But they can also be an aggravating factor in this crisis. In this context, EcoInfo acts within the ESR (Higher Education and Research) to reduce the negative aspects of digital technology, in particular by studying its direct and indirect socio-environmental impacts throughout its lifecycle, and by proposing ways to reduce its impacts.
