A giant wave breaks on the Californian coast - Anne Petrenko interviewed

Along this Californian beach, he had nothing to worry about. But suddenly, some twenty people and several vehicles were swept away by the wave. Hotels were flooded all along the coast, and many trees were uprooted. For oceanology specialists, this was no tsunami. According to Anne Petrenko, a teacher and researcher at the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography, "It was a period of high tide, and on top of that, there were strong storms offshore, which led to high swells".
