HOT Hg Cruise

The HOT Hg cruise took place from May 15 to 29, 2023, two wonderfully exhausting weeks on the island of Panarea to study natural mercury emissions, their impact on microbiology and bioaccumulation in the food web of five shallow hydrothermal vents.

Many thanks to our great team, the ANR HOT_Hg and the European Commission's ITN GMOS-Train project for their financial support!

The teams : 24 researchers, including 3 postdocs, 4 PhD students and 4 scientific divers were in the field, from Aix Marseille Université/MIO/IMBE, Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Université de Sorbonne/IMEV, ICM-CSIC/Université Autonome de Barcelona (Spain), Tianjin University (China), Université de Aveiro/CESAM (Portugal), Université de Lleida (Spain), Jozef Stefan Institute (Slovenia), OGS (Italy) and INGV (Italy).

Stay tuned !
