MétaSUD 2019: Metabolomics Days in the South PACA region

12 June 2019 to 13 June 2019

During this event, the first day will be dedicated to scientific presentations (oral, flash and posters) and the second to workshops.
The power of metabolomics for studies in ecology and biotechnology is well established and this conference will allow researchers and/or technical staff interested in this type of approach to present their work and/or become familiar with metabolomics. Priority will be given to papers proposed by young researchers (doctoral students, post-docs) from regional laboratories. Be careful though, as the number of places will be limited and the deadline for registration is May 24, 2019!
The purpose of this symposium is also to lay the foundations for a future regional structure in metabolomics (in parallel with the symposium, a meeting will be organized on June 13 on this subject)

The 2019 MetaSUD Regional Metabolomics Days aim to bring together as many regional actors, both academic and industrial, in this discipline as possible so that they can: (i) to present their advances and skills in the different fields of metabolomics (methodological and analytical developments, data processing, statistical analyses, etc.), (ii) to exchange their knowledge in order to raise their theoretical and practical levels and (iii) to raise their needs, particularly with regard to socio-economic partners.

MétaSUD is widely open to industrialists directly involved in metabolomics (manufacturers, suppliers, developers...) as well as regional socio-economic actors developing or wishing to develop metabolic approaches.

This conference is also intended to present a wide range of studies in metabolomics to a non-specialist audience wishing to learn about this discipline (hospital staff, researchers and teacher-researchers from related disciplines, engineers, technicians, etc.).

The 2019 MétaSUD days hosted by the four regional universities (Avignon University, Aix-Marseille University, Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis, Université de Toulon) follow two previous regional events: the "Metabolomics & Lipidomics in biology and Health" day organized at IPMC (Université Nice Sophia-Antipolis) on December 1, 2015 under the aegis of CoReBio PACA and a practical workshop entitled "Understanding and initiating analyses in metabolomics" held on December 12 and 13, 2016 at the Endoume Marine Station (Aix-Marseille University).
