NAUCRATES, follow-ups have started

After the prototyping phase last winter, we recently deployed NAUCRATES devices on the buoys of the two reserves of the Côte Bleue Marine Park. As a reminder, these devices are intended to test the attractive power of buoys and to enhance the value of these devices.

During their first dives, GIS Posidonie (Patrick Astruch) and MIO (Sandrine Ruitton) noted the presence of the first occupants of the Centrolophidae family (the Black Centrolophe (Centrolophus niger), a species characteristic of floating objects).

Monitoring (diving and video) is carried out on all buoys at least once a month for one year. In particular, they aim to assess the ecological added value of NAUCRATES devices.
