Access to biodiversity and benefit sharing

An awareness day on access to biodiversity and benefit sharing will take place on Monday, June 23 at the Provence and Corsica delegation of the CNRS on the Joseph Aiguier campus.

The regional delegation of the CNRS organizes with the IRD and Aix-Marseille University an awareness day on access to biodiversity and benefit sharing on Monday, June 23, 2022.

The Nagoya Protocol regulates access to genetic resources and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from their use (ABS), with the aim of promoting the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.

This day will aim to recall the origins as well as the spirit of the regulation and to explain the obligations arising from it in the conduct of research projects.
