The Experimentation and Instrumentation Workshops (AEI) bring together engineers, technicians and researchers specialising in instrument development to discuss measurement, methodology, design and construction, implementation and innovation. Given their remit to cover all instrumental activities at INSU, the AEI have been extended to INSU’s four scientific fields: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Ocean and Atmosphere, Continental Surfaces and Interfaces, and Solid Earth.

The presentation of a poster (preferably in French) or a hands-on demonstration is compulsory for registration at the AEI in order to foster discussion among engineers, technicians, researchers and academic staff. The presenter of the poster or demonstration undertakes to be available for one hour during the session to which the poster or demonstration belongs, in order to present their work (past, ongoing, a project under development, or a technological bottleneck). Optional: the poster/demonstration presentation may be supplemented by a short oral presentation in the plenary session (preferably in French, with a PowerPoint presentation and lasting 3 minutes).
