Saupe qui peut : a film to be better in his plate

Our plate is the reflection of our links to biodiversity. Short circuits, sustainable fishing, forgotten species to be rediscovered: there are many ways to eat with respect for life. This is the purpose of the film "Saupe qui peut! This documentary, produced by the association Bouillabaisse Turfu and the Parc national des Calanques, gives us tracks to feel better in our plate. This documentary brings together the chef Christian Qui, founder of Bouillabaisse Turfu, Sandrine Ruitton, a scientist from the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanology (MIO) and Achraf Stifine, a fisherman from Marseilles. By crossing the views between cooking, artisanal fishing and marine biodiversity, it encourages consumers to cook a forgotten or even unloved species: the saupe, a herbivorous fish rather abundant in the Mediterranean. After a preview screening at the World Conservation Congress last September, the public release of this film in 2022 marks the National Park's entry into the "International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture" decreed by the UN.
